The Lore of Underground "Alien" Bases on Earth Goes Far Beyond Harvard Academics...

A recent paper from researchers at Harvard suggests a "cryptoterrestrial hypothesis" for UFOs, claiming that highly advanced beings that originate elsewhere may have underground bases on Earth.

Harvard academics recently suggested that a highly advanced civilization could be residing deep underground or, perhaps in a base inside the Moon.

They published their hypothesis in Philosophy & Cosmology titled, “The cryptoterrestrial hypothesis: A case for scientific openness to a concealed earthly explanation for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.”

The authors, Tim Lomas (Harvard University), Brendan Case (Harvard University) and Michael Paul Masters (Montana Tech of the University of Montana), make the case for the possibility of so-called “crypto-terrestrials” to explain unidentified and unexplainable observations made around the world each year.

They join Harvard Astronomer Avi Loeb, who has been making similar claims of extraterrestrials living among us for the past few years. Let’s not forget about Dr. John Mack, a former head of the department of psychiatry who investigated the UFO phenomenon for decades.

“We're not saying this is right, we're not saying that this is absolutely 100% the case, we're saying these are some potentialities, these are some possibilities to help explain the origin of these beings." Masters said.

Masters is a biological anthropologist who said he was asked to help research potential explanations for UFOs.

He said "aliens" may actually just be humans from far in the future who have figured out how to time travel. He is not the first to propose this theory, it’s based on numerous observations and thousands of corroborating stories from “experiencers” throughout human history.

Dr. Michael A. Persinger, an American-Canadian professor of psychology at Laurentian University, observed that for thousands of years and within every known human culture, normal individuals have reported brief and often repeated ‘visitations’ by humanoid phenomena that are associated with strange flying objects.

It’s not hard to make an argument that observations of UFOs and contact by beings from beyond the Earth is one of mankind’s oldest stories.

The authors speculate that intelligent beings may have gone underground until we're ready for contact, and that we must seem extremely primitive to them based on what we see flying around in the skies.

Within the idea of “crypto-terrestrials” are multiple hypotheses, which you can refer to the paper for more details if interested.

In this article, I wanted to focus on the general idea of an extraterrestrial presence on our planet and the Moon. I also want to explore where exactly this theory comes from.

Did it just pop out of thin air? Is it that “far out” there to think this could even be a possibility? If so, where are they?

I thought it would be useful given the fact that this recent hypothesis made headlines, making it appear as if it is a new theory among academics, but it’s not. And I wish these academics would have expressed that in their paper.

It’s a theme that garners serious attention every few years and has for multiple decades.

For example, I remember in 2016 exploring a paper published in the Journal of Space Exploration about certain features on the far side of the Moon that appear in the crater Paracelsus C. It argued that these features might be artificial in origin. There are other papers that have done the same with regards to Mars.

When discussing possible extraterrestrial visitation, Carl Sagan wrote an article published in Planetary and Space Science (1963;11:485-98) titled, “Direct contact among galactic civilizations by relativistic interstellar spaceflight.” In it, he argues the following:

“It is not out of the question that artifacts of these visits still exist, or even that some kind of base is maintained (possibly automatically) within the solar system to provide continuity for successive expeditions. Because of weathering and the possibility of detection and interference by the inhabitants of the Earth, it would be preferable not to erect such a base on the Earth’s surface. The Moon seems one reasonable alternative. Forthcoming high resolution photographic reconnaissance of the Moon from space vehicles – particularly of the back side – might bear these possibilities in mind.”

There is even a Wikileaks document that claims that a base or bases have been built on the Moon. There are also decades old declassified CIA documents discussing the fact that the planned construction of bases on the Moon were, at that time, already in motion.

In a Top Secret collection of articles in the Journal "Military Thought" ("Voyennaya Mysi") published by the ministry of defense, USSR, and distributed down to the level of Army Commander, Lieutenant General Korenevsky expresses the following:

This highly classified document was somehow obtained by the CIA, who were keeping tabs on the USSR space program at the time. What’s interesting is that this document is from the 60’s, while the Wikileaks document is from 1979. Perhaps Korenevsky’s intelligence was correct?

You can access these documents via the CIA’s electronic reading room, where a trove of declassified documents exist for people and researchers to examine. Bases on Earth?

This is an interesting one, and it makes me wonder whether these Harvard academics came across the CIA’s remote viewing program. Perhaps that’s where this hypothesis comes from and why it lingers.

Remote viewing is the ability of someone to describe the characteristics of a remote geographical location regardless their present location.

For example, a professionally trained remote viewer by the Central Intelligence Agency and academics at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), where this type of activity took place for more than 25 years, would successfully and repeatedly be able to describe in-depth details of a distant location without actually being there. It was called the STARGATE program.

Despite the fact that the entire remote viewing program was officially declassified in 1995, it appears that this probably wasn’t true given the fact that many from within the program have ‘blown the whistle’ so to speak. Many claimed that they were tasked to “view” information about various groups of extraterrestrials that were visiting our planet.

I spoke with retired US Army Major Dr. Paul Smith, who was part of that program. Although he is aware of the number of viewers who have come out publicly speaking about their experiences within the program, he experienced nothing like that. That being said, he did have experiences and successful hits with regards to multiple UFO incidents that occurred with the US military.

A Weird Remote Viewing Document…

In one of the remote viewing sessions from 1988, a viewer was tasked with looking into a “galactic federation base” on Earth. You can access that declassified document here, again from the CIA electronic reading room.

I was confused when I saw this, is this document implying that the US government knew/knows about a “galactic federation” base on our planet and was attempting to look in on it? Are the claims of former military intelligence officers, like Lyn Buchanan, (and other civilians like Ingo Swann) who were in the program, true? Are we being visited? Has this been known for a very long time?

This document sure does provide some validation to such claims.

Buchanan has also mentioned extraterrestrial bases on Earth and says there are approximately five. He mentions that they are all inside mountains and that at some bases, humans are working with these extraterrestrials in various ways.

I also found this interesting because it correlates with yet another remote viewer named Pat Price. Price was said to be one of SRI’s most successful and skilled remote viewers.

A well-known story about Price comes from Captain Frederick H. Atwater, a retired US Army officer who was involved in these remote viewing experiments. I have confirmed the validity of this story through my conversations with Paul H. Smith (mentioned earlier in the article) among various other sources and literature.

The story is that Price had remotely viewed four extraterrestrial bases on Earth, one of which was located under Mount Ziel, which lies approximately 80 miles west-northwest of Pine Gap, Australia.

The other bases were said to be under Mount Perdido in the Pyrenees, Mount Inyangani in Zimbabwe and under Mount Hayes in Alaska. He described the occupants as ‘looking like homo sapiens, except for the lungs, heart, blood and eyes.’

Then there are even more claims by interesting people. Retired Israeli general, professor of aeronautics and astronautics, and former head of Israel's Space Program, Professor Haim Eshed, for example, has claimed that intelligent extraterrestrials exist and that they've been in contact with Earth governments for years. He did so in an interview with Yediot Aharonot, a national daily newspaper published in Tel Aviv, telling them that "The aliens have asked not to announce that they are here, humanity is not ready yet."

How can so many who have held such positions all be considered lunatics? Or considered to be making false claims? If you tie in all of the data and research that has accompanied this phenomenon, it does make you wonder.

Indigenous stories of highly advanced civilizations living underground are also quite prevalent. It’s a theme that spans multiple cultures and centuries. Examples are not hard to find.

“The old ones tell stories about people from the stars who lived underground near Tanana. There are many stories the old ones told about the Star People who live among them and went underground near Tanana. The Inupiat believe they came to Earth on a spaceship.”

The quote above comes from a Cherokee elder, via Dr. Ardy Sixkiller Clarke, a Professor Emeritus at Montana State University who is Cherokee/Choctaw and has been researching the “Star People” for many years.

In her work, “Encounters with Star People: Untold Stories of American Indians” she explains,

“Belief in subterranean worlds has been handed down as myths or legends among generations of people from all over the world. For example, Socrates spoke of huge hollows within the Earth that were inhabited and vast caverns where rivers flowed. The Cherokee Indians tell that when they first came to the southeastern United States, they found many well-tended gardens but not the people who cared for them. Eventually, they discovered a group of people who lived underground and came out only at night to tend the gardens. They harvested the food and took it underground to their cities.These people were small, had blue skin and large black eyes. The sun rays were too harsh for them so they built their cities underground and only came out at night using the light of the moon. The Cherokee called them the “Moon People.”

So, just to reiterate, the idea of highly advanced life dwelling within our planet is not novel. But what Have Humans Done Underground?

“It is ironic that the U.S. would begin a devastating war, allegedly in search of weapons of mass destruction, when the most worrisome developments in this field are occurring in your own backyard. It is ironic that the U.S. should be fighting monstrously expensive wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, allegedly to bring democracy to those countries, when it itself can no longer claim to be called a democracy, when trillions, and I mean thousands of billions of dollars have been spent on projects about which both the Congress and the Commander in Chief have been kept deliberately in the dark.”

To be perfectly honest, it’s quite difficult to determine exactly what humans have really accomplished. I believe this is the case because some of the most interesting accomplishments are most likely “classified” and lie within the realm of what are known as Special Access Programs (SAPs).

These programs do not exist publicly, but they do indeed exist. They are better known as ‘deep black programs.’ A 1997 US Senate report described them as “so sensitive that they are exempt from standard reporting requirements to the Congress.”

In 2017, Michigan State professor Mark Skidmore, alongside some of his graduate students and Catherine Austin Fitts, the former assistant secretary of Housing and Urban Development, found $21 trillion in unauthorized spending in the departments of Defense and Housing and Urban Development for the years 1998-2015. Where is this money going? SAPs?

Some of these programs could involve the construction of deep underground military bases, known as (DUMBS). Furthermore, some of this money could also be going towards the construction of under-ocean, and in-bottom (of the ocean) military bases.

In 1987, Deputy Director of Engineering and Construction for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lloyd A. Duscha, gave a speech at an engineering conference titled “Underground Facilities for Defense – Experience and Lessons.” In the first paragraph of his speech he states the following:

“After World War II, political and economic factors changed the underground construction picture and caused a renewed interest to “think underground.” As a result of this interest, the Corps of Engineers became involved in the design and construction of some very complex and interesting military projects. Although the conference program indicates the topic to be “Underground Facilities for Defense – Experience and Lessons,” I must deviate a little because several of the most interesting facilities that have been designed and constructed by the Corps are classified.

He then went on to discuss the Corps’ involvement in the construction of the large and elaborate NORAD base in the 1960s, buried deep beneath Cheyenne Mountain, in Colorado.

There are documents available that expose a deep underground command center that was to be built far below areas such as Washington, D.C., and China Lake, California, during the Cold War. Documents show that in 1964 the military was considering building a huge underground cavity 4,000 feet deep beneath China Lake.

The world’s most prominent researcher on underground military facilities, Richard Sauder, Ph.D, told of an interesting story in his book Hidden In Plain Sight that I’d like to share with you:

“As it happens, after giving a public talk a couple of years ago, I was approached by a man who had been a uniformed member of the United States Navy. We chatted for a while and when he mentioned that he had spent some time at China Lake my ears perked up. I asked him if there was an underground facility at China Lake. He said that indeed there is, and that it is impressively large and deep. I asked him if he had ever been in it, and he said that he had, though not to the deepest levels. I asked him how deep the deepest part extended. He looked at me soberly and said very quietly, “It goes one mile deep.” I then asked him what the underground base contains. He replied, “Weapons.” I responded, “What sort of weaponry?” And he answered without pausing, “Weapons more powerful than nuclear weapons.”

Historian and world renowned UFO researcher Richard Dolan, a man of extreme credibility, once shared in one of his books, After Disclsoure, an experience he had with a politician who was deep underground in a military base at one point. He was briefed on the extraterrestrial reality and said that ETs and UFOs are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to information that’s concealed from the public…

This may all be hearsay, but again, it’s interesting to explore.

In 1968 the Stanford Research Institute was even discussing the construction of dozens of undersea bases. The study was titled “Feasibility of Manned In-Botton Bases.” It’s important to show you the abstract here, because it clearly reveals what the military-industrial complex was considering, and what they could do within their technological reach at the time — more than four decades ago.

Abstract:

“The construction of thirty manned in-bottom bases within the ocean floors is technically and economically feasible….This could take 15 years. The major technology for a land-linked station in-bottom is established now; only adaptations are needed. The remaining experimental phases will require further development of equipment and techniques applicable to remote sea access. There are useful assignments for a succession of three experimental stations other than advancing in-bottom construction techniques. Science and engineering concerned with the oceans and their resources will be furthered and military tests of undersea base functions complimenting deeper operations can be accomplished.

Presently, establishing an in-bottom facility and building upon this will present fewer technical difficulties that do the submersibles which would support it and use it. Subsequent to the completion of the third phase of a demonstration program, which would be a remote, deep water station, and the evaluation of it, a multiple base program, could be implemented.”

It’s truly hard to know how far along we’ve come with the technological plans discussed in this article. It’s now 2024, and these facilities must be extremely advanced, perhaps, in my opinion, 100-1000 years ahead of where the “mainstream” world is at, but perhaps I’m wrong.

It’s unfortunate that our world is still dominated by secrecy. The United States has a history of government agencies existing in secret for years. The National Security Agency (NSA) was founded in 1952, its existence was hidden until the mid 1960’s. Even more secretive is the National Reconnaissance Office, which was founded in 1960 but remained completely secret for 30 years. Who knows how far it has gone today in 2024.
