It's not so hard. ETs are real, but waiting for the government, any external authority, to declare they exist, before you yourself believe they do, is a trap, a paradox. Each of us needs to be empowered in ourselves as a prerequisite for encountering the beneficent ETs. If we habitually give our power away -- to external authorities of any kind, we become incapable of maintaining the high frequency where the good ETs are at, and they can't engage with us then, except through our dreams.
The negative ETs see our lack of empowerment as a point of easy access to manipulate us. We're just like a wild animal to human trappers -- easy to bait and trap using our own mental patterns to deceive and ensnarle us into their ploys. Jacques Vallee has written extensively on how different ETs have deceived experiencers and caused them to create cults around their encounters like the Heaven's Gate suicide cult.
Personally i have stopped looking to the skies -- anywhere 'out there' -- for UFOs, UAPs -- ETs. i know they are already here. Looking for them out there, would imply otherwise -- to myself. The high frequency ETs will be able to be contacted when i am in the right frame of mind and my frame of mind is contingent on my personal frequency. It is also dependent on my being aligned with my specific purpose in life. But i am not doing any of this just in order to connect to ET. i'm striving to maintain a connection to my Higher Self/ soul because that's who i truly am. Any ET contact will come, if it does, as a natural course of my personal evolution and in order to fulfil any specific goal or communication, that may be on this path. The high vibe ETs never encounter anyone randomly, since they are at the same state of knowing as -- there are no accidents, everything happens for a reason and cause itself is synchronistic (acausal). In fact in this sense they are similar to the 'uncivilized' Australian Aborigines living hunter-gather lives in the outback -- they are in a constant state of Oneness with all that is, which anthropologists call Dreamtime. They know how things work non-linearly. Physicist, Gary Holz, was healed of his MS by living with them and learning how to be, and how things really are. In turn, after returning home to the US, he healed numerous people of incurable diseases, till he died 10 years later.
Of course it's also easy to fall into feeling entitled and being arrogant and then getting bumped into being a target for negative beings of all sorts, at least in my case -- so practicing humility and impeccability (unwavering integrity) are essential. Using psychology can by beneficial if it's directed at getting into integrity, like using Jung's analytic method can lead one to individuation, but psychology is generally used only to label and justify -- as in you have this disorder because of the childhood trauma you experienced.
As for what's happening in the collective sphere, it seems obvious that the ''Is ET real ?'' question is being used to forestall the awareness that ET has always been real, it's just that we have forgotten who we are, as similar galactic beings. i use my intuition and honour what i'm shown. Also good enough for me is Bob Lazar's testimony of how some ET saucers work -- they create a black hole in front of them by the massive energy put out by a nuclear reaction of Element 115, which then in effect pulls the craft forwards into the time-space vortex like a carrot hanging on a stick in front of the donkey which wants to eat it, moving the cart forward as a result. In a space-time-frame relative to the distortion which exists around the black hole, the speed of light is not exceeded by the craft, but relative to the frame of our galaxy the craft is able to exceed light speed.
