First time reader of Pulse after reading Joe's article in Canada's Druthers magazine. Excited to be here!

I'm a male survivor of the gender battles that started in the 60 + years when feminism made it's most recent debut. For many years I would have agreed with Tom that feminism signalled a return to the sacred. I see it differently now.

Men's as oppressors is at best a partial truth. Our complementariness, our equalness, is is what's true about the sexes. We're part of each other. Both men and the women need to be there in the sacred or else you have big trouble. Without respecting this, the social structure quickly goes to hell, which is where much of the west is going to now.

Traditionally we're the warriors who fought for the community and the family. We need to welcome men's courage and warriorship into the new fight for the future. We can fight for the wise future and we need to, but we can't do it without each other.

Just reading The Chalice and The Blade by Riane Eisler. Praying that the aspects of the divide or rift we have endured as women through out HIS-tory, will collide with whatever force is in/around/through us all to bring us back into Partnership. I suspect She is dancing among us flirting with our Hearts and ramping up that energy....like a solar blast!
