EcoHealth Whistleblower Says SARS-COV-2 Was Created In A Lab & Funded By The NIH

Andrew Huff, a former combat veteran and Vice President of EcoHealth Alliance, has turned whistleblower.

In a sworn statement released by his attorney, Huff claims that EcoHealth Alliance developed the SARS-CoV-2 virus (that causes COVID-19) by conducting gain of function research on bat borne viruses that was funded by the National Institutes of Health as well as the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), of which Dr. Anthony Fauci is the director.

According to Huff,

Fauci was questioned by Congress regarding his potential involvement in gain of function research at the Wuhan lab in October of 2021. Fauci said that the NIH has not ever, and does not now, fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

EcoHealth alliance is the organization that received a $3.7 million dollar grant over 5 years to study bat coronaviruses related to SARS-CoV. During the first 4 years of the grant, EcoHealth had sent roughly 16% of the funds to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

In April of 2020 at a White House Coronavirus Task Force, a reporter asked then-President Donald Trump about supposed U.S. intelligence reports that SARS-CoV-2 came from a lab in Wuhan, China, which she claimed received all the $3.7 million from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). One week after this press conference, Trump ordered the cancellation of the grant, and the "lab leak" theory was the topic of hot discussion.

Despite the fact that the grant issued to EcoHealth Alliance drew scrutiny, a new grant was just issued by the National Institutes of Health to study bat coronaviruses. The new $653,392 grant to EcoHealth was made through Fauci's (NIAID). It covers a period from now up until Aug. 31, 2027, for a project titled "Analyzing the potential for future bat coronavirus emergence in Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam."

Gain of function research is biological research. It’s done all the time with flies, worms, mice and cells in petri dishes. Scientists create novel genotypes and screen or select to find those with a given phenotype (such as trait or ability) to find new sequences with a particular function.

It’s one thing to experiment with fruit flies, but when the research involves genotypes of potential pandemic pathogens and functions related to transmissibility or virulence in humans, it's a whole other ball game.

That’s when gain of function becomes dangerous. The idea is to get ahead of future viruses that might emerge from nature, thereby allowing scientists to study how to combat them. But many scientists have decided this research is simply too dangerous and reckless, especially in China where it's most likely conducted without the proper safety precautions.

The Truth about Wuhan, How I Uncovered the Biggest Lie in History, By Andrew G. Huff.

Again, the lab leak theory has been a constant discussion throughout the pandemic.

On Dec 18, 2021, the Editor in Chief of The Lancet Richard Horton wrote, “To be clear, the lab leak theory was and remains a perfectly legitimate line of inquiry.”

Despite being considered a “conspiracy theory” by many, the GOP Oversight Committee released emails in early 2022 showing Dr. Anthony Fauci may have concealed lab leak info. 

These emails claim that Fauci knew at the beginning of 2020 that a genetically manipulated virus may have leaked, intentionally or unintentionally, from the lab in Wuhan.

In a  letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, Reps. James Comer and Jim Jordan pointed to a Feb 1, 2020 conference call that included Fauci and former National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins in which the virus’ origins were discussed. 

According to the letter, it was on this call that Fauci and Collins were warned that COVID-19 may have leaked from the lab in Wuhan and may have been intentionally genetically manipulated through gain of function research. US Republicans are now questioning whether the lab leak theory was dropped due to influence from Fauci and/or Collins.

Prior to all of this legitimate information that has come out, the lab origin thesis was purged from “acceptable” discussions when a paper entitled “The Proximal Origin of SARS-COV2” (KG Anderson et al) appeared in Nature Medicine (March 17, 2020). This piece served as the foundation of a wall of scientific opinion that was rapidly erected to contain the dangerous “conspiracy theory” that the virus was a product of human intention and ingenuity.

We now know that this was incorrect, yet any media outlet, journalist or scientist who shared their opinion that the lab leak theory may be legitimate were subjected to censorship, demonetization and ridicule. It wasn't long after this that the lab leak theory became a legitimate discussion within the mainstream, yet these media outlets, journalists and scientists that were punished did not receive any sort of compensation.

Dr. Francis Boyle, who drafted the Biological Weapons Act, gave a detailed statement just a couple of months into the declaration of a pandemic stating that that the 2019 Wuhan Coronavirus is an offensive Biological Warfare Weapon and that the World Health Organization (WHO) already knows about it.

Another notable example is our own article written on September 12, 2020 about a Chinese virologist who claimed she had evidence COVID-19 was man-made. The article was fact checked as ‘false’ a few days later. It explored the story of Dr. Li-Meng Yan, included a discussion of her credentials and the claims she was making. The article did not say anything she said was absolute truth. 

The article also stated that, 

“The Chinese national health commission still denies the COVID-19 outbreak started in the lab in Wuhan, saying there is no evidence the new coronavirus was created in a laboratory.”

Nothing was factually inaccurate in our article but it still took 8 months (May 2021) for PolitiFact to retract its fact check label. In the process our company was defamed, lost access to our audience, and lost revenue.

As you can see, the lab leak theory will always be surrounded in controversy, with two sides arguing against each other. The fact remains that it is quite concerning to consider COVID-19 may have been accidentally or intentionally released into the public, through gain of function research.

If true, the pandemic has led to unnecessary deaths caused by the virus as well as caused by government interventions like lockdowns and vaccination. Not to mention the pandemic has been a huge factor in moving towards a tightly controlled society, and one in which more of the publics rights and freedoms are taken away under the guise of goodwill. We've seen this with other major events throughout history, like 9/11 for example.

At the end of the day, societies means for change, which seems to be participation in the political process, is completely broken. The entire system itself is set up to incentivize destructive behavior that does not create a thriving world.

Humanity is in a moment where coming to terms with the nature of the systems around us is and awakening of sorts. An awakening to why our world is the way it is and what we can do about it. Through the right lens, it's an inspiring time for a change that is long overdue.
