Why Do We Condemn Others For Being ‘Less Awake’ or ‘Less Conscious?’
Are we free if we are plugged into polarity and othering built from a world we are working to change?

It's humbling to remember that you once did not know the things you know today. Yet sometimes many of us judge and condemn others who do not yet know what we currently know. Why?
I've written for years about being in a time where so much truth about how our world really functions behind the scenes is coming to the surface. Along with that is the reality of a meta-crisis that is unfolding. Many aspects of our society and ways of living are coalescing in crisis at the same time, with our collective spirituality and lack of meaning mixed into the fold.
When people learn about ‘stuff’ that’s going on, they may feel they are 'in the know" while others aren’t. One thing I've noticed since I started Collective Evolution in 2009 is that many in the community of 'seeking truth' seem to become judgemental of those who aren't seeking the same ideas or who “don't know” what’s going on.
You’ll often hear people where a badge of honor and say things like:
“I can’t believe that person still does that or thinks that way, man, they are so dense or 3D.”
“Look at these stupid sheeple who know nothing about what’s going on in the world! Go back to your 9-5 job!”
“These normies and sheeple still aren’t awake, I can’t even be around them anymore.”
The truth is, YES, some of us have different perspectives and are certainly more correct about what’s going on in the world. We indeed live in a world where people believe things that aren’t true and have had their consciousness manipulated by mass media.
But does thinking differently truly make anyone better than another? How does it feel to call people 'sheep'? Does it truly feel good to see people that way?
For me, I often connect better with “normal” people than those in highly spiritual or truth-seeking communities. I’ve found that judgement within these communities is high, and people are often angry and upset at everyone else.
With this sense of superiority, so many are also turned off from exploring new ideas because they look at the behavior of those talking about them and are turned off.
This begs the question: what is our goal in truth seeking or spiritual exploration?
How We Can Approach Our Differences
If you ask the question what is the end goal of sharing new ideas and information, and with that you answer: "to raise awareness and make the world a better place" it isn’t far off to assume that to align your actions with your goal you would want to find the most effective ways to convey a message to people.
That said, if we choose a judgmental route, are we effective? How does it feel when others do that to you? Doesn’t it suck when people gawk at and laugh at us for having different ideas?
If we forget to empathize with others, connect with them, and communicate effectively to them, are we effective in achieving the goal we set out above?
You can only control yourself and your actions. Meeting people where they are at by insulting them because they laugh at new ideas isn’t going to move us forward.
Instead, it can be helpful to ask questions like: Why am I judging? Why are they judging? Why am I feeling anger at their beliefs? What has disconnected from this person?
There is often insight in reflection. Maybe our judgment has become a habit. Maybe it’s pointing to an area of pain within ourselves. I don’t know, that’s for you to explore. But the choice is ours as to how we act, and be.
Do your actions create more division? Or are they creating unity?
I want to be clear, there is no right or wrong here. One approach isn't 'the nice thing to do' and the other 'the mean thing to do.' This is simply a question of the type of world we are feeding into and whether it aligns with our heart.
What world do you want to create? How do you truly want to feel about other people? Why are we so drawn to othering each other?
Awareness of self, the true self, beyond the ego, is key to awakening to our collective potential. Yes, learning about the various forms of 'corruption' or societal manipulation occurring is helpful in opening the door for many to start to question their reality. It also gives us a reason, when we are less aware, to begin exploring the desire for change.
Can our reality change if we are just operating from the same mindset and egoic state of being but with slightly different beliefs? Or is the answer to our current meta-crisis partly based on a shift in consciousness?
