Last week I succumbed to a bout of depression brought on by anger. The anger came through the last few years of understanding some of the horrors of what man will do to mankind. This understanding was feed all day long by the background voices of social and indie media. They provided me with great learning and knowledge and support of my belief system, but my mental health suffered. I had no balance. And then it dawned on me I wasn’t listening to my music anymore. At work I use to listen to music all day and was cognitive on how the music affected me and my work. I had the flows of emotion in positive notes. Then late 2019 came; I started substituting the music for news devouring all the horrors in a soup of emotional turmoil. BOOM. Anger. Frustration. Depression. Enlightenment. MUSIC. I have the music back. And now I understand through the emotional and physical impact of lack of music, the importance of music in my life. Through a healthy balance of news and music I can be emotionally stable again. Maybe there is a song! Joe you are correct in your assertion that Music benefits your heart, brain and health!
