With the revealing of the huge amount of bots prevalent in all social media, I wonder how "organic" the spread of the mentioned hashtags really was. The rollout of the whole covid debacle world wide was orchestrated by the unmentioned Municipal Corporation known as "US Department of Defense". Take a look at what agencies that are under this criminal organizations umbrella here: http://www.paulstramer.net/2023/03/getting-caught-up-after-160-plus-years.html
You have presented precious little proof to your claims that legitimate scientific opposition was “a majority or at least a large minority.” What you call ‘federal censorship’ can easily be positioned as government attempts to counter mass propaganda driven by bad actors and propagated by the hordes of dumb idiots that infest the online domain. Scientific consensus is indeed a matter that warrants scrutiny, the real question is how, in the age of zero friction info sharing, do you differentiate and validate such scrutiny. Your article left me unconvinced there are reasons to think the consensus was in the wrong re covid.
Fight misinfo with misinfo? Is it ok to use fear management and authoritarian tactics to spread information? Authoritarianism as in using authority without showing ones work - including responding to legitimate claims..
That was not done. There was no grounded logical structures that could stand up to public scrutiny. If someones gonna essentially force me to take a jab - then it is their responsibility to show their work.... Fear management works but it is a lot of work and very expensive. Also it has massive repercussions - continuing expenses - like a passive income! Haha.
The "scientific consensus" in the antebellum South was that runaway slaves had the mental disorder "drapetomania". The consensus in the late nineteenth century was that nonwhites had evolved separately from whites and were inferior. The consensus at Ellis Island was that immigrating Jews, Latins and Slavs were less intelligent than Anglo-Saxons and Teutons. We all know about the consensus concerning global cooling, or is it global warming, or is it both.
Excellent article. Thank you for daring to speak the truth.
Everything has become a hot topic and “science” has definitely suffered. True scientific discovery has been abandoned to the point where we are now living in a new type of dark age. Politics and money have thoroughly corrupted any semblance of honest public discourse. When people have to fear for their careers by simply speaking the truth as we know it and laws are only applied to one subset of citizens we are no longer a free or open society. Historians will view this time as a culture of denial and corruption. That is if we don’t start behaving like rational people again and can refrain from initiating a nuclear war.
This has become the worst “best of times” in that people have access to more information than at any other time yet are too lazy to check out information beyond the skinny headlines and deafening drum beat of pundits on maintstream media.
Thanks Maureen! Science has indeed suffered. N to say that there isn’t good real science out there but like you said, everything has become so corrupted.
Up until the fifteenth century the "scientific consensus" was that the earth is flat and that bathing was a cause for illness. According to the "science" cats and dogs in the middle ages were destroyed as they were the cause of the plague. The result was the explosion of the Black Death.
Today's situation is reminiscent of the Inquisition with the "consensus" destroying people's lives. Violence usually appears to be a result of desperate people trying to cover up their lies and in some cases the embarrassment of realizing they have been taken in by these lies.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾- The Universe must be speaking because I just wrote a similar article a couple weeks back about the “religious tenants” of what I call “scientism” - this “dogmatic cult-like” view that science has, and which lines up perfectly with what how you described scientific consensus. Here’s the article if interested:
Truly a great article Arjun! So many pieces I agree with:
1. Mainstream can make the majority seem like the minority and vice versa. This is something we should remember whenever we watch the media
2. Consensus is the business of politics. We need to break away from the consensus
I’m starting to have the perspective that the true majority actually questions everything about while the media makes it seem like the minority are the majority that accept everything.
This is very good to see and provides hope for the truth.
A brilliant summary of the tactics used to promote the illusion of consensus. It's amazing how money was used to turn normal people into behaving like morons, namely the pro-narrative pushers.

"Where were the mental health experts? The child development specialists? The historians? The economists?"
Falling in line with the 'consensus'. Er, I mean groupthink.
Throw in judges and lawyers in there too.
The detractors were cancelled/fired/censored and some are STILL
facing such consequences even though they have been proven to be right based on REAL science!
Amazing times but not in a good way. The neo-dark ages have begun. Orwell would e both horrified and vindicated.
Let’s Face It,

Were Never The Cool Kids.
And My God
Were We Right.
Well written and important, thank you.
Thanks Dave!

Dear Heavily Vaccinated,
I Have Never Felt So Smart

Everyone Else Around Me
Since …………… Yesterday.
But In All Seriousness,
I Have Never Felt
So Rewarded Either.
