I work from home and my solace is taking my dogs for a walk after work to the park by my house. I sit on a secluded hill and do open eyed meditation, preferably while sitting in the sun. This is by far the highlight of my day as it allows me to completely remove myself from the constant stream of consciousness that runs through my head all day long, also allows me to view what I consider to be other dimensions. The longer I meditate the deeper the visions become, like my mind is hooked into the collective unconscious.

Steps to Knowledge is a life-changing spiritual practice to the person who is serious about diving into really knowing themselves and the Truth. I've been doing it for over 30 years and am finding it's depth cannot be exhausted.

I love Gabor Mate, and I do think wounds can show up in physical issues. It makes us feel in control in the sense that if we heal our minds, we can heal our bodies. I think life will always include the tension of opposites, finding the balance really matters, because there will always be stress.

I enjoyed your post. I'm also thoroughly enjoying your book "Conversations with Nobody" (I have dyslexia so I am a slow reader— In a way, I don't mind having dyslexia, for it gives me more time to contemplate and digest the thought of the words that I am reading!). Your book opened the door to much contemplation about artificial intelligence and the marvelous things that we can accomplish. with it, if we use artificial intelligence in a positive way. I highly recommend your book.

. . . By the way, I also left a comment regarding your your book on Amazon.

As an introduction, you can listen to one of the revelations about taking the steps to Knowledge here. I know expansion and growth when I experience it. I hope this may further bless the world that we came to serve.

With gratitude and Godspeed,

Ideally we have a place, for me it would be outside where I connect with nature, to just breathe and not think about anything other than the calmness of nature. Resulting in healthier mind and body. So simple.

I agree. It's very difficult in the city to find a place where there are not tons of people and dogs barking and construction happening. I must go into nature at 5am with the mosquitos to find my peace, but the mosquitos are less intrusive than the unawakened humans. lol

Depending on, we take what we can get but unfortunately again depending on where we are exactly we also need to be careful and alert to the area.

Yes going into nature can take one into stillness and connect one to what is.

Great article Tom, really enjoy seeing so much discussion on the intersection between our social phenomenon and our well being. To some degree I'm more at peace in myself when I feel stillness... even in the chaos. I don't feel passive... more so able to respond better. To our existing culture that seems paradoxical of course LOL.

Thanks for the piece!

p.s. I've been around since you wrote for CE years ago, nice to read your stuff on here. Also good to see so many of Joe's/CE's ideas become more relevant in our mad world, always helped ground me and they've been at it a long time!

Everything Tom says here is true. The greatest truth is our need to find silence and stillness. We must learn to cease the constant chatter of our intellectual mind…The what ifs? …The was what I said/did ok? …The what should I do now? …the memories, the imaginations.

Only when we maintain inner silence can we discover our deeper mind that is connected to the All. Our ancient eternal mind that never ends and holds within it the Knowledge of God
