Probably these people have not had the opportunity to experience the awe of the awakening of consciousness. I believe "ethics" can become slippery and biased when you navigate only from your mind and away from your heart.
This is very well said. I don't wish to portray her as being an evil person as much as I believe it's important to see how we all can become conditioned in one way or another, and how our prior pains and experiences in life shape our patterns and nervous system to respond in destructive ways.

Consider if you and your team were rip-roaringly, financially successful, influential and mundanely powerful - your lady journalist 'friend' would have been all over you!
It appears she only has one ambition - a very narrow and focused mission to forge ahead to the 'top' - by necessity everything else gets thrown overboard. Outward appearance of success but built on shallow foundations.

I do chuckle about it from time to time. Back when this happened our company was hard to miss. We attracted 30 million visitors a month and were all over Facebook. Thankfully it wasn't this tory that eventually took us down, that happened years later. And we lost all our 'success,' financial stability and more in the process. Rebuilding though! :)
The Atlantic was a paper I used to read in the 80s and 90s. Like many former great liberal papers, it has degraded into a shadow of its former self.
They published an article with the title, 'The (Still) Unsettled Science of Masking.'
100 years of studies and collective experience pretty much 'settled' they don't work. But there they are, denying the facts and truth. It's odd. Very bizarre.
Indeed. Many platforms have gone that route, becoming 'woke' versions at times as well. I sometimes like what comes out of The Atlantic, but mostly I read it to keep my mind open to perspectives I have a hard time agreeing with.

It truly was a good learning lesson in the end, really helped shape how I communicate, and also inspired me to continue shedding light on the unscientific nature of important topics. There is a mass evolution of our collective worldview around the nature of reality and consciousness taking place. I feel I'm better equipped to have that discussion because of experiences like this :)
Someone so possessed as to knowingly deceive and misrepresent themselves hasn't the capacity for the depth of character, curiosity, and morality you embody and express, thus their capabilities are severely limited. But, as you suggest, that may be the only way she can succeed in her chosen career, as that is what the culture demands. How cliché.
Honest, trusting people are frequently taken advantage of by these parasites, yet this distasteful element has always been around, so perhaps in the greater perspective, it's a necessary part of the human experience.
It was a hard lesson, but I think we're all glad it didn't knock you out of the game. You've positively influenced tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of hearts and minds since.

I live close to Kelowna in Fintry, about 30min away and absolutely beautiful. I've been following your podcasts and articles for the past couple years and find them very insightful. I also appreciate the fact that you actually look at and discuss all sides of a story. The cancel culture and attack mentality we are seeing today does absolutely nothing but create division and hate. It certainly doesn't provide a path for solutions. Thanks for all the time and effort you contribute to help shine light on societal discord.
This was gripping. I can't imagine what it would feel like to have someone publicly do this, and I hope I never have to. I really like how you laid out the path of MSM journos. It's common for people to believe they are just getting a script to follow, but it seems more like a culture they get stuck in.
Thanks for the feedback. To add, many journalists are seeking access. Access to sources, big name people, etc. They often 'stay within the lines' to not lose access to who they want. This applies to outlets too. If an outlet doesn't want to lose access to governments or politicians, they might provide a very limited scope of what's going on to not rock the boat.
Essentially, there is little incentive for journalists to g after the whole truth. If they do, they are relegated to indie media like us. Then they rely on their audience to help them pay the bills which can be a tough nut to crack.
Most choose the path of sticking to what's safe and stable as a result.
