In this episode, we look beyond the headlines surrounding the tragic death of Renee Good at the hands of ICE agents. While coverage has focused on fitting the event into partisan narratives, a deeper story is being missed.
We explore how the growing civil unrest and use of militarized policing on US streets reveal deeper failures in our institutions while doing little to stop the violence and crime it’s meant to prevent. This conversation invites us to step out of dehumanization and manufactured division, and to ask harder questions about the systems driving today’s unrest.

Reds believe that black is the enemy, while black believes that red is the enemy, when the real enemy is the person who shook the jar. The same is true in society.
Men vs Women Black vs White Faith vs Science Youngs vs Old etc...
Before we fight each other, we must ask ourselves: Who rocked the jar?"

From the Congressional Record, January 27, 1917:
JP Morgan, Steel, Shipbuilding, and “powder” interests hired 12 high-ranking newspaper execs to determine how to “control generally the policy of the daily press” throughout the entire country.
Answer: They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25 of the greatest papers. …the policy of the papers was bought, to be paid for by the month; an editor was furnished for each paper to properly SUPERVISE AND EDIT INFORMATION…. This policy also included the suppression of everything in opposition to the WISHES of the interests served.
'Complex dialogue' - yes this is what is needed, to look at things from a deeper perspective...which people can't do when they are in a flight or fight state. What I see as I sit here in the UK is exactly what you suggest - people on social media in 'debate' projecting their fear onto an 'other', hooking on to symbols of wrongness/evil because they are frightened and need an explanation and they are not being helped with this - unless they are here of course! - because they watch biased media and they have lost the capacity to be present and also to think- both in their lives generally and especially in this high octane situation.
