You obviously haven't been following what the Trudeau government is trying to pull off in Canada. People in the USA who have these "weapons of war" should do everything in their power to hang on to them. Remember Biden already threatened his own people with F 18's. Very insightful on several levels. It has been painful to see so many people able to only think on a superficial level in our culture. I am old and it has been shocking to watch what we thought of as the country of the good guys devolve into such a childish, ugly, immoral society. I had assumed that life evolved upward spiritually and socially, but I see that the most negative aspects are being brought out in the open for everyone to see. People must be able to be above the level of their own self interest to be aware of what is going on. Corporate selfishness and greed has damaged everything - EVERYTHING. They do not care about people or the planet. I can't say anymore.............
From the few comments you made I assume you are not a firearms owner. Legal firearms owners are the largest law abiding people in this country. To us they are a tool , no different than a hammer or better yet a fishing rod. We use them to put food on our table as well as for recreational sport.
People who abuse firearms are criminals and should be dealt with as such. No wrist slapping, no early release ,or as in Canada no "catch and release". Like most people we would like to keep our rights to the support of our happiness. We don't condemn non shooters so why should they condemn us?
