US Government Essentially Kills UFO Disclosure Efforts: Information Will Remain Classified

The UAP Disclosure Act, which was a beacon of hope for many advocating for transparency in the government's actions regarding UAPs, was just gutted.

UFO’s, now “Unidentified Ariel Phenomenon (UAP)” as per the US government’s re-branding of the subject, continue to make waves within the “mainstream.” This is interesting because it’s yet another topic that was firmly established as a “conspiracy theory” that has turned out to be real and worthy of discussion.

UAP themselves are real, there’s no doubt about it. Activists and journalists around the world continue to explore what these objects are and where they come from.

UAP Sightings occur every single day and continue to increase exponentially year after year. These sightings have been documented from antiquity to the present day.

On Thursday, the US Congress passed legislation that directs the government to share with the public at least some of what it knows about UAP. That being said, those who have been paying attention know that this is not a move forward, but a step backwards in trying to get the government to be more transparent about what it knows.

Remember it is the US government that has been engaged in a century long coverup of the subject, what reason does the public have to suddenly trust what government will bring forth when we’ve been lied to for so long?

Within the past few months, this legislation did look promising. It was designed to task all government departments with the responsibility of examining data sets about UAP. It was a significant step towards ALL available data on UAP. But this didn’t happen, and it’s not going to happen.

The measure, which was tucked into the annual defense policy bill that won final approval with a bipartisan vote, directs the National Archives to collect government documents about “unidentified anomalous phenomena, technologies of unknown origin and nonhuman intelligence.”

Basically, the act has been stripped of its substance and only has the ability to collect UAP reports without any clear guidelines of how these reports will be made public.

Under the provision, which President Biden is expected to sign into law, any records not already officially disclosed must be made public within 25 years of their creation, unless the president determines that they must remain classified for “national security” reasons.

The original legislature called for the government to skip any review and simply ordered the Defense Department to declassify “records relating to publicly known sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena that do not reveal sources, methods or otherwise compromise the national security of the United States.”

It would have also allowed those within the national security state to come forward to share what they know publicly about the phenomena without being punished for breaking their national security oaths.

Key provisions were gutted and watered down with this bill that basically prevents any disclosure regarding crash craft and bodies recovered.

David Grusch is a former Air Force intelligence officer who worked in the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He came forward this year sharing what he knows about the phenomenon. In the interview below with News Nation, he explains how this legislation is a complete failure.

He became one of hundreds of high ranking officials from multiple countries in the past several decades who have shared similar information. For some reason, Grusch’s testimony captured the attention of the world, and as a result, many people who were completely unaware of this issue have now become aware of it.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, national security has long been an umbrella term to keep information “classified” for ulterior motives. Is much of what’s classified because of “national security” really classified for the protection of citizens? Or is it classified to protect the financial, political and economic interests of the one percent? Or both?

“The dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts, far outweigh the dangers that are cited to justify them. There is a very grave danger that an announced need for an increased level of security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of censorship and concealment. That I do not tend to permit, so long as it’s in my control.”

UAP disclosure efforts have been ongoing for quite a few years now, but they continue to be quite a useless effort. It’s been clear over the past 80 years that most governments have no interest in being transparent, and that it’s quite easy for them to keep secrets under the guise of national security.

The ability of any act to successfully navigate the legislative process is quite low in my opinion, and there are forces at work that seek to keep a tight stranglehold on this issue, along with the information and technology that comes with it.

This is exactly what we are seeing happening with modern day so called “UFO disclosure.” And it’s exactly why we can’t continue to rely on governments for transparency.

Controlled Disclosure

What we are seeing occur is a form of controlled disclosure and information control. With the growing and heightened interest in this topic, government organizations are now primed to explain their version of the phenomenon to the public and have set up offices to do so.

I am concerned about misinformation coming from these offices, and a narrative that continues to debunk the extraterrestrial hypothesis or provides an non-holistic view of the phenomenon that will justify more national security measures under the guise of goodwill. Perhaps, for example, an inaccurate threat narrative when those within the national security state have not expanded on “dark” aspects of the phenomenon as much as the “benevolent aspect.”

For example, many decades ago, the mentor of Wernher von Braun, Hermann Oberth, the founding father of rocketry and astronautics, also known as the ‘father of Spaceflight’ stated his belief that: 

“flying saucers are real [and that] they are space ships from another solar system. I think that they possibly are manned by intelligent observers who are members of a race that may have been investigating our Earth for centuries.”

He wrote these words in and article titled, “Flying Saucers Come From A Distant World.” It was published in The American Weekly, on October 24, 1954.

Gen. Nikolai T. Antoshkin, the commander of a dangerous helicopter firefighting operation in which he and other pilots braved radiation exposure to contain the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, stated the following,

“Yes, surely aliens in one form or another and in one way or another are present on the planet Earth....But so far, the extraterrestrials have not caused any damage with their presence - no damage to earthlings, infrastructure, or any other living organisms on Earth, so to say that there is an alien threat, well, that probably doesn't correspond to reality.”

There are countless examples of this. But, assuming some of these objects are indeed extraterrestrial or extradimensional, the “benevolent” and “malevolent” question is for another article.

Not long ago, Former Blink 182 Star Tom DeLonge stated that anyone who suggests UFOs have a benevolent nature is either lying or not equated with the facts…

Again, why go through or even rely on government for transparency? We know that Special Access Programs (SAPs) have been dealing with this issue for decades, and know a lot. But why do people assume that access to truth will ever come from entities that have deceived us on so many issues for such a long time?

Congress/government cannot even get a hold of the information that’s archived within SAPs, so who is calling the shots? Can truth ever come from a political system that’s become so morally and ethically devoid? Look what happens to individuals like Julian Assange and Edward Snowden.

We basically have politicians and and big government able to control what humanity knows and learns as truth. Despite all of the lies and deception that has been uncovered, why do we even continue to ask?

“I’ve often spoken about the concept of controlled UAP disclosure, this idea that there’s a deliberate and managed release of information about UFOs or UAP. Seems to me that the gutting of the UAP disclosure act, in a sense you can see it as a part of this whole process, it’s a significant delaying of that process and it is exercising much greater control over the disclosure process and really slowing it down.”

To me, the only solution to the problems and issues of transparency with this topic, and many others, is self governance. Individuals and organizations exploring this topic and relaying their findings to the public would be a much better way to go about this. The only problem is that so many governments and government contractors that deal with this issue have access to the most sophisticated technology on the planet. Individual organizations with no connection to the government who explore this issue don’t have access to the media. Our voices to the world are essentially cut off and our ability to study it properly seems impossible.

This is why trying to access what has already been discovered is indeed a Nobel effort. One that won’t stop with this recent setback.

Why do governments and their masters get to thoroughly explore these issues and topics and keep them a secret? What about the public’s desire for exploration, transparency and truth?

He has spoken at events around the world and is the recipient of two “Lifetime Achievement” awards at major UAP conferences. His approach to the UFO subject has always focused on three basic pillars: the sightings themselves, the politics of the coverup, and the longstanding attempts by citizens to end UFO secrecy.

He is also a historian and a scholar and in my opinion, one of if not the brightest and most informed individuals of our time. He takes a holistic approach to examining the phenomenon, and his knowledge of other global issues provides a much deeper insight you probably won’t find anywhere else.
